Product overview:

Different pelletizing machines are manufactured to meet the specific characteristics of different foams (EPS, EPE, EPP, etc.).Processing various waste foams into recycled PS granules.
Working Principle:
1. Foam Crushing: Waste foam is crushed by a foam crusher and blown through pipes by a blower to the hopper above the foam hot melt machine.
2. Foam Hot Melting: The crushed foam enters the hot melt machine and is melted into a viscous plastic molten material through heating and strong extrusion by the screw.
3. Foam hot melt auxiliary equipment: The hot melted foam is forced through a die head (a plate with many small holes) to form strips.
4. Cooling water tank: After the foam is made into plastic strips, the extremely high temperature allows for shaping through a cooling water tank.
5. Foam Pelletizing: The shaped plastic strips are fed into a pelletizer to be cut into granules.

Extrusion & Forced Feeding Unit

Extrusion head, driving motor and forced feeding assembly. The motor supplies power for screw conveying foam material. The vertical pressing device prevents light weight foam slipping and bridging, ensuring steady feeding. The die head extrudes molten foam into strips, which determines the stability of extruded material.
Electric Control Cabinet
Electric control cabinet, the operation center of the machine. It is equipped with digital temperature controllers, start stop buttons and voltage current monitors. It accurately controls melting temperature and rotating speed, and provides overload protection. Stable temperature and speed matching ensure full foam melting to produce uniform, clean pellets.
Crushing Feeding Chamber
Feeding crushing chamber with cutter teeth. It shreds large waste EPS/EPE/XPS foam blocks into small pieces. Shredded foam melts more evenly inside the extruder, reducing unmelted impurities in final pellets and maintaining smooth, continuous feeding.

Functionally: As a pre-treatment device at the front end of the granulation line, it crushes large pieces of foam, regulates the output particle size, balances material supply to protect the back-end main unit, and matches the overall production line capacity.
In terms of application areas: It is compatible with the recycling of various waste foams such as EPS, XPS, and EPE, serving industries such as plastic recycling, packaging, building insulation, and pearl cotton processing, completing the pre-treatment for waste resource utilization.

Functionally: it accepts crusher scraps, melts foam materials at high temperatures, compresses and plasticizes the fluffy foam, and extrudes strips. It is the core plasticizing process that connects crushing and drawing and granulating to ensure stable granulation.

Functionally: It accepts hot-melt extrusion material, filters impurities to purify the molten material through a filter screen, continuously draws out regular plastic filaments, and after water cooling and shaping, conveys them to the pelletizing process, improving the purity and appearance of recycled granules. It can also be adapted to a screen-changing structure to avoid die clogging.
In terms of application: It is a key molding equipment in the middle of foam granulation lines, equipped with EPS/XPS/EPE foam recycling granulation, used in recycled plastic processing plants for the resource-based granulation production of various waste foams.

Functionally, it rapidly water-cools and shapes the high-temperature plastic strips extruded from the wire drawing machine, softening and straightening the strips to prevent adhesion and deformation, facilitating subsequent traction and pelletizing, and ensuring uniform and neat finished pellets.
In terms of application, it is an essential piece of equipment for foam pelleting production lines, suitable for EPS, XPS, and EPE recycled pelleting, and continuously used in batch pelleting processes in plastic recycling plants.

Functionally: The cooled plastic strip is drawn at a uniform speed, and a high-speed rotating blade precisely cuts it into uniformly sized recycled foam granules. The blade speed is adjustable to control the granule size, completing the finished product shaping.

Q1: What foam recycling machines can you supply?
A: We are a professional foam recycling machinery manufacturer. We supply complete one stop solutions including foam shredder, foam compactor and EPS/EPE/XPS/EPP foam granulator. We cover full procedures: waste foam crushing, volume reduction by compression, and final foam pelletizing.

Q2: What type of waste foam can be processed?
A: It works for EPS, EPE pearl cotton, XPS insulation board, EPP foam waste, such as packaging foam scraps and construction foam waste. Not suitable for foam mixed with heavy sand, dirt or large amount of PVC materials.

Q3: What is the output capacity of your foam granulator?
A: Single machine capacity ranges from 150- 350kg/h. Custom models are available. When combined with foam shredder and foam compactor into a complete line, production capacity can be increased further.

Q4: Is pre treatment required for waste foam?
A: Large foam blocks need to be shredded by foam shredder. Light bulky foam is better compressed by foam compactor before granulating. It avoids material bridging and slipping, improves output and reduces power consumption.

Q5: What factors affect final recycled pellet quality?
A: Raw material cleanliness, processing temperature, crushing effect and stable forced feeding. Cleaner and well shredded raw material with stable temperature control produces cleaner pellets with less impurities.

Q6: Can machines be customized? Are they container shipping friendly?
A: Custom capacity and voltage are supported. Standard models fit for 20GP /40GP sea container, we provide container loading proposal.

Q7: What about warranty and after sales service?
A: Main machine enjoys 1 year warranty (consumable parts like blades, die plate, heater excluded). We provide remote video guidance for machine commissioning. On site service is available at customer's expense.
